Hollywood Star Bruce Willis Diagnosed with Dementia

Willis’ family shared the heartbreaking news with fans.

Hollywood action hero, Bruce Willis has been diagnosed with dementia. In a statement released on Thursday, the family of the legendary actor known for his roles in Die Hard and Pulp Fiction, revealed that he has been diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).

The 67-year-old actor, who recently retired from acting due to aphasia, a speech disorder that impairs the ability to communicate, is now facing a new challenge with his health. Willis’s family  issued their statement. on the Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration website.

According to the family, wife Emma Heming, ex-wife Demi Moore, and daughters Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel, and Evelyn – revealed Willis’s aphasia had progressed as the legendary actor has been experiencing memory loss, difficulty in recognizing friends and family members, and other symptoms associated with dementia.

Today there are no treatments for the disease, a reality that we hope can change in the years ahead. As Bruce’s condition advances, we hope that any media attention can be focused on shining a light on this disease that needs far more awareness and research.

Willis’ career in Hollywood spanned over four decades and he is widely regarded as one of the most iconic action stars of all time. He has starred in over 80 films, including Die Hard, Armageddon, The Sixth Sense, and Pulp Fiction.
