A few months back, Minal Khan took the entertainment industry and social media by storm with her character of Nisha in Jalan. This was the first negative role that she ever played and it created a lot of buzz among her fandom.
However, people were not happy with Nisha. Jalan was a controversial play and so was Minal’s character. It didn’t fit well with the audience but as an actress who played a challenging role, Minal Khan says the experience taught her confidence and self-reliance.

In a recent episode of Time Out with Ahsan Khan, the actress said that playing a negative character like Nisha helped her explore her own personality which in turn gave her more confidence. Speaking with the host, she said,
“I think letting out a side that appears negative on screens is crucial for us actors because it’s not negativity for us but a way to find confidence. What I learned from my character Nisha from Jalan was purely self-reliance.”
Fellow actress and her friend Saboor Aly also shared her two cents as she also portrayed the character of a self-centred girl in Fitrat.
“There’s a lot of margin when it comes to playing the antagonist. I thoroughly enjoyed it because it made me explore the creative side I was holding onto for so long.”
