Day 3 of PFDC’s Sunsilk Fashion Week went remarkably well, with famous fashion designer HSY pulling out all stops for his 25 Years of Heritage event. The finale hit it out of the park undoubtedly.

Its official now. HSY, beyond the shadow of doubt, is hands down the Fashion Guru. His designs have always been a fusion of eastern and western attire loaded with rich urban-chic style and cuts. He never fails to impress his audience every time he showcases his collection.

Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, aka HSY, started off as a choreographer and impressed everyone worldwide. He later enrolled in the Pakistan School of Fashion and Design where he learnt how pieces of clothing are collected, and the rationale behind them.
He then went on to launch his brand HSY in Lahore, and has never looked back.
Over the years he has won various awards and made a reputable name in the fashion industry, not just in Pakistan, but all across the globe.
Currently, he is part of the Board of Directors of the very school that made him into what he is now. He is also the part of the Executive Committee.
RANI
For this year, HSY ended the show with his exclusive collection RANI, leaving the audience spellbound.

As to where he got the inspiration for this all-new collection, here’s what he said:
“This collection is dedicated to my mother, my RANI.”

He also mentioned that RANI is also a tribute to “independent, strong and resilient women in the country, all of whom are queens in their own right”.
All Red
As mentioned above, Rani was showcased at the event on the 3rd day as a grand finale.

What held center stage in HSY’s ‘Rani’ was a single dominating hue: a deep red.

We could also see that flags in red were waved to celebrate the the designer’s silver jubilee.

Using a single color, HSY played around more with the textures and silhouettes to differentiate the outfits:

Long tassels swung down to the floor and fitted blouses peeped out from under translucent georgettes that floated in a range of capes, gowns and structured tunics.
