This week from the rumor mill, ‘news’ emerged that Bol breakout star Humaima Malick is getting hitched. The starlet took no time correcting Netizens and journalists alike.

Humaima Malick took to Instagram to slam bloggers and journalists for spreading misinformation about her marital status. She also schooled them about using people’s photographs without their consent.

“This is for all the sick bloggers. You guys need us, I don’t need you people and [to] pay for PR [by] you guys. Shame on you.”

The Raja Natwarlal actress asserted that she will be sure to make the announcement herself when she actually does get married. In a lengthy note on Instagram, she called out how this fake news is embarrassing for her.

“I would like to salute all those bloggers and media houses who gather viewership for their pages and blogs through yellow journalism. Every other month, I am married to someone which becomes a source of embarrassment for my family. Even if we celebrities want, we can never post pictures with these people, whom we respect immensely and hold in very high regard, because some bloggers will use that picture to spread the [false] news that we are married to them.”

She then addressed how people shouldn’t indulge in rumor-mongering.

“Whenever I get married, I will be sure to inform all of you and will share the news via my social media. For that reason, please don’t believe any rumours, …. For God’s sake, do not drag such esteemed spiritual individuals into such news for the sake of ‘gossip material’.”

Also, recent rumors associating her with someone, she schooled Netizens on respecting people’s privacy. Particularly when it comes to sharing pictures without consent. People often forget celebs are entitled to these same rights and their photographs are subject to the same laws.

“We are indeed media personalities, but the people whose pictures that go viral along with ours belong to respectful religious families and are people whom I hold in very high regard.”
