In the aftermath of the Pulwama incident in Kashmir, Indian media channels (such as Zee TV) have turned their guns on Pakistan. Some Indian companies and celebrities have pulled the plug on their collaborations and commitments with Pakistani artists as a result.
Indian actress Kangana Raunat has gone a step too far by calling for Pakistan’s destruction. And the Indian populace at large is being fed jingoistic rhetoric by their channels as well. Almost all channels we should add.
You see, the former Chief Minister of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah had this to say about Zee TV, one of the largest television networks in India:
Zee TV will sponsor & promote Pakistani bands a day after the Pulwama attack but because it’s in Dubai it’s all kosher in the mean time the airwaves will be used to drive hyper-nationalism back home. pic.twitter.com/rTThLX868C

Pakistan’s response to the saber-ratting by the Indian side has been relatively muted (and sane) at best.
One can understand the reasoning behind Indian protests. However, calling for war and blood of innocent people is a stretch too far, yet that is the impression any neutral observer could get after watching Indian news channels.
Zee TV’s Two Faced Approach
The kicker is, all this talk of war and raining fury is only limited to the everyday normal citizen who lives in India. Zee TV certainly does not have qualms about making money elsewhere, or so it seems.
Perhaps only a true businessman knows how to play both sides and make some money in the process? Zee TV certainly got that part right.
