Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has been quite vocal about his regret for casting Mahira Khan and Adnan Malik for his autobiographical tragic love story. He had been making official statements about repenting to cast the Sadqay Tumhare duo.
Recently, Mahira took it to her social media to announce that Sadqay Tumhare has made it to Youtube also she expressed that she is missing the drama.

In response to this post Khalil ur Rehman once again made an official statement on his Twitter handle.
“I’ll always curse on me for the sin I committed by casting her in a very sacred role in my Sadqay Tumhare”

The Kaaf Kangna writer further added that
“Zindagi bhar yeh gham rahega”
In 2014, Mahira Khan had played the protagonist in ‘Sadqay Tumhare’, a drama serial based on Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar’s tragic love story. Through this drama, the Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay star received a critical acclaim for her performance. However, the writer has repeatedly confessed that he regrets casting Mahira and Adnan in a project based on his own life.
In March 2020, Khan called out the writer for his misogynistic words and stated that

Adnan Malik, who played the character of Khalil portraying the writer himself took to his Twitter handle too and said

In another tweet, Khalil ur Rehman stated that he used to respect Khan a lot but after Marvi Samad’s incident, and how the latter supported her, Qamar would never forget her disrespectful words against him.

The Khan-Qamar fiasco has been going on since 2020 and it does not seem to be settling anytime soon.
