‘I love my mustache’ Indian Woman Shyja Dons Her Mustache With Pride

Shyja who belongs to Kerala India has a mustache and she is proud of it!

With powerful women emerging stronger by the day, they have started to embrace their odds and grow. The positivity and optimism have started nipping in women which is most likely the best change we have come across so far. The epitome of this change is a thirty-five-year-old woman Shyja who belongs to Kerala India. Shyja has contributed her fair share of bringing change by embracing her odds. She has a mustache and she is proud of it!

“I love my mustache. All I can say is that I just like it. A lot.” says her.

The thirty-five-year-old further expressed her growing fondness for her mustache saying

“I can’t imagine living without it now. When the Covid pandemic started, I disliked wearing a mask all the time because it covered my face,”

She went on to say

“I’ve never felt that I’m not beautiful because I have this and it’s not something that I shouldn’t have.”

Shyja is certainly a strong woman. It takes a lot of courage to be different and accept yourself as you are. She decided to look at the brighter side and love herself the way she is.

Shyja has battled many health problems. She had six surgeries in the last decade, one to remove a lump in her breast and another to remove cysts in her ovary. Her most recent procedure was a hysterectomy five years ago.

“Each time I came out of surgery, I would hope that I never had to go back into an operation theatre again,” she says.

Shyja is lucky enough to have the support of her friends and family. They have also accepted her choices and her daughter frequently tells her that she looks good with a mustache.

She has brutally busted the gender stereotypical taboos. If a woman wants to keep a mustache she surely can!

“People make fun of me saying, ‘It’s men who have mustaches, why would a woman have one?’”

Shyja’s friends frequently respond angrily to these comments on Facebook, but she says it doesn’t upset her at all.

Well, we salute Shayja for her courage and valor!
