At this point, the name Ahmed Ali Akbar is synonymous with Parizaad. The actor really knocked it out of the ballpark with his performance in the drama serial. However, someone else also had their sights set on the role.
While we can’t imagine any other artists playing the titular character in Parizaad, Faysal Quraishi wanted that role.
In a recent conversation on Junaid Akram’s podcast, the Muqaddar actor was talking about redundant trends in the drama scene.
He made the statement in response to a question about Pakistani dramas. The Baba Jani actor shared his views saying that the public wants to see the same old stuff but, some drama serials still change trends.
That’s when he mentioned drama serial Parizaad being a trendsetter. Going on to admit how he wanted to bag the titular role but couldn’t. He shared how;
“I am very glad, in recent times, Parizaad got hit, I actually made fun of a few people (who were against it), I really wanted to do that script but I was rejected, people said that it is a flop, don’t go for it, the writer also got upset with me but I said to him people warned me that it won’t work, but still it was a hit, it changed the trend, and even before Parizaad, Pyare Afzal, Bashar Momin and Mera Saaien have changed trends.”
Interestingly, Faysal Qurahi had a key role in both Bashar Momin and Mera Saaien. Speaking about doing such projects in the future, the Haiwaan actor shared that he is set to play a diverse role in the future. He shared;
“Now I’m doing a project, I won’t disclose about it, it’s a different play, for sure.”
The senior actor has been a part of the industry for a very long time. He actually started his career as a child star and is now also a creator too.
His recent drama serial Dil-e-Momin garnered a lot of attention.
