During the episode, Iftikhar Thakur recalled a chance encounter on a flight that led to a deep spiritual friendship and the miracle of Haram al-Sharif.
Thakur recounted how, during a short 45-minute flight from Sweden to Paris, he found himself seated next to a Christian passenger. As they struck up a conversation, the two decided to ask each other one question about their respective religions. Thakur chose to inquire about the shared reverence both Islam and Christianity hold for Hazrat Maryam AS (Mother Mary).
This initial discussion forged a connection between them, leading to an unexpected friendship. Following his flight, Iftikhar Thakur embarked on a journey for Umrah. He stayed in touch with his newfound friend, sharing his awe-inspiring experiences.
Thakur described his feelings while standing in the sacred precincts of Haram al-Sharif, emphasizing its majesty and spiritual significance.
It was during his visit to the holy city of Madinah that Iftikhar Thakur received a phone call from his Christian friend. In a moment of profound revelation, his friend informed him that he had decided to embrace Islam and had chosen the name “Mohammad Umer” as his new identity.
Thakur was deeply moved by this miraculous turn of events, as his simple act of sharing faith and respect had led to a life-altering transformation for his friend. The comedian expressed his amazement at the power of faith and the fulfillment of a heartfelt prayer.
