Pakistani stars are really catching up on the web series trend. After Mehwish Hayat’s Enaaya, Pakistan is putting out Badshah Begum. Badshah Begum cast Iman Ali in the lead role.
The web series is scheduled for 2019, when exactly is not known. The project initially wanted to cast Cheekh starlet Saba Qamar but she didn’t take up the offer.
Back in August, 2018 the Baaghi actress revealed her reasons for opting out in an interview with Instep.

The actress mentioned that she didn’t feel her character was strong enough. Saba Qamar is known for playing powerful females onscreen.
“I didn’t find spark in the character I was offered,….I feel masses should be able to relate to the characters we play on screen.”

The producer of the series Rafay Rashdi revealed that it was a mutual decision. Instead, Iman Ali was cast alongside Imran Ali and Gohar Rasheed. All three actors are known for their versatility and memorable roles.
The buzz about the series Badshah Begum started back in 2018. Initially, it was rumored to be a television series. It wasn’t until now that it has been termed a web series.
Plots details of Badshah Begum are being kept under wraps. All we know for now is the actors cast in key roles.

Based on the looks of it, Badshah Begum is a period drama set in the Mughal era. The exact timeline of the series is set in is not known, but if we were to make an educated guess it must be 1721-1748. Its the era of Badshah Begum, queen consort of Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah.
We do know that Iman Ali was born for this role and we can’t wait to see how she performs.
