Indian Ministers Fight Climate Crisis By Pouring Cold Water Over Globe

South Asia is heading towards a climate crisis. It has been reported that a scorching heatwave is looming close to Pakistan and India. The record-shattering heatwave is approaching bearing the risk of killing dozens in India and Pakistan.

Scott Duncan a meteorologist from Scotland tweeted;

“Harsh heat will build in Southern Asia (again) in the coming days. Pakistan will break 50°C (122°F) in places. This follows a very hot March and hottest April on record. The heat really is relentless. Very hot also for large parts of India”

At least 25 people have been killed in India, more than 65 deaths have been reported in Pakistan, and the numbers are still expected to go higher.

In Pakistan, temperatures in Jacobabad and Nawab Shah touched 120 F at the end of April.

“This is the first time in decades that Pakistan is experiencing what many call a ‘spring-less year,” Pakistan’s Minister of Climate Change, Sherry Rehman said in a statement.

The heatwave is also expected to affect the wheat crop in India. Amidst the climate crises and all the hullabaloo, Indian ministers are making special efforts to combat the onslaught of climate change.

A picture is making rounds on the internet in which Indian Minister held a special ritual to fight climate change. In the now-viral photo a Hindu pundit is pouring cold water over the globe to ‘releave’ the Earth of heatwave.
