Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot spilt the tea. Talking to Vanity Fair for a virtual award season chat, the Fast & Furious actress confirmed there more similarities between Diana Prince and Princess Diana than just their names.

Although the shero was not based on the late princess, Gal Gadot’s portrayal of Wonder Woman was directly inspired by Princess Diana.

The 35-year-old actress shared how the Princess of Wales was an inspiration for her role as the Princess of Themyscira.

In DC Universe’s films, we see that despite her official title being, Princess Diana of Themyscira. Steve Trevor gives her the civilian alias, Diana Prince.

Gal Gadot essayed that role in the 2017 film directed by Patty Jenkins. When Princess Diana of Themyscira was born to protect the innocent, then why not give her a personality like the late Princess of Wales?

“I remember watching a documentary about Princess Diana and there was a part where they said she was full of compassion and always cared for the people and that was like, ‘Ding, ding, ding,’ that should be the Wonder Woman we have,”
