HUM TV’s much-loved comedy show Suno Chanda has a separate fan base among drama lovers. We all enjoyed the first two seasons and last year, it was rumored that another season in works.
Pakistani drama fanatics simply loved this drama and the lead jodi of Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed, aka, Jiya and Arsal won our hearts. It only made sense that the makers would want to make another hilarious sequel, but it seems that Suno Chanda may not be returning for a third season.
Nabeel Zuberi, who plays the role of Shehyar in the show, was recently asked by a fan when we will hear the news of Suno Chanda Season 3. The actor replied,
“Sorry to update you guys, there will be no season 3 of Suno Chanda.”
Earlier, it was Pakistani singer and actor Farhan Saeed who revealed that the scriptwriter, Saima Akram Chaudhry has no plans of writing a third season.
However, in August 2019, BBC News Journalist Haroon Rashid revealed that HUM TV producer, Momina Duraid has confirmed that there are discussions about a third chapter. His tweet gave us hope and Twitter was simply rejoicing the moment.
“Hello Suno Chanda fans. Momina Duraid has confirmed there ARE discussions about a third season but it WILL NOT air in 2020. There will be two year break and *if* it happens, it will air in 2021. Part of the series will be set in the UK,” he wrote.
