Recently an upsetting video went viral on the internet. In this video, some people are seen celebrating the religious night of Shab-e-Barat in a graveyard. But the thing which made people furious is the qawali event at such a sacred place.
Shab-e-Barat is one of the major festivals for the Muslims, celebrated on the 15th night of the month of Sha’ban, the eighth month of the Islamic calendar. The observance of Barat involves a festive nightlong vigil with prayers. In most regions, it is a night when one’s deceased ancestors are commemorated.
In the race of being unique, we are surely forgetting our values. The recent video is not only inappropriate according to Islam but also ethically. The public is disappointed that why did they choose the graveyard for this musical event. Have a look at the video below,
