The former Prime Minister sustained bullet injuries to his leg after an unknown gunman opened fire on him during his Haqiqi Azadi Long March rally in Wazirabad. The shocking incident took place at the Allahwala Chowk.
According to PTI member and former Governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail, said Imran Khan was shot “three to four” times in the leg.
PTI supporter Muazzam Nawaz lost his life, while 14 other party leaders and workers, including MNA Ahmed Nasir Chattha, Omer Mayar, and Senator Faisal Javed Khan were among the injured.
Imran Khan was quickly moved from the rally container to a bulletproof vehicle and transported to Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore. His condition is stable, according to recent reports.
