Hollywood actor Johnny Depp will be getting his full salary for the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel despite his premature departure from the franchise. The renowned actor was asked to leave the film due to the ongoing domestic violence case against him.

Johnny Depp is one of the popular actors in the world. The Hollywood superstar is a household name worldwide due to his brilliant performances in blockbuster films like Pirates of the Caribbean, Blow, Sleepy Hollow, and his role as Grindelwald in the Harry Potter spin-off franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

However, we won’t be seeing Johnny Depp reprise his role as Grindelwald in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts sequel.

Due to the court ruling him as a ‘wife-beater’, Warner Bros. studio has started distancing themselves from the actor. Depp respectfully exited the latest Fantastic Beasts film after he was asked to.

However, there is some good news for Johnny Depp as he had a pay-or-play contract, which requires Warner Bros. to pay his full eight-figure salary — meaning more than $10 million for shooting just one scene!

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Depp. However, the Hollywood star is confident that his “life and career will not be defined by this moment in time.”
