Actor Osman Khalid Butt replaces Ali Rehman Khan for the leading role in Saima Akram Chaudhry’s Kala Doriya alongside Sana Javed.
HUM TV’s drama serial Kala Doriya has been marred with delays for quite some time. Screenwriter Saima Akram Chaudhry’s show just cannot seem to decide upon its male lead. Fans know actress Sana Javed is onboard since day one, but her male costar is undecided until now.
Recasting Over and Over Again
Originally, Farhan Saeed was the first choice but he left. His replacement was Usman Mukhtar who also left. But the thing good news then was that Farhan came back onboard. However, he left again and this time Ali Rehman Khan landed the role. But due to “reasons”, he is now replaced with Ehd-e-Wafa star Osman Khalid Butt (for now).
We haven’t seen Osman Khalid Butt on TV since Chupke Chupke. Netizens, however, are glad to see Osman replace Ali Rehman Khan. Audience are also excited at the prospect of seeing the Goya stars (Sana and Osman) together again. People feel the two will have a better chemistry together.
A few argue that Ali Rehman Khan was still a better choice.
Some folks still haven’t forgiven Sana Javed and ask the producers to replace her as well. A while back Sana Javed created controversy after several makeup artists and models came forward with allegations of rude behavior on set.
And one fan is still hoping for Farhan Saeed to come back.
