Screenwriter Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has landed in hot water after his offensive comments during a special Pakistan Super League (PSL) talk show, Har Lamha Purjosh, on ARY Digital.

The episode, hosted by Waseem Badami, featured former cricketers Basit Ali and Kamran Akmal as guests, but Khalil’s behavior stole the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.

In a viral clip from the show, Khalil ur Rehman expressed shock over Multan Sultans’ recent win against Lahore Qalandars, led by Mohammad Rizwan. He called the victory a “fluke” and claimed Rizwan was unfit to be captain.

When Waseem Badami asked him to explain, Khalil failed to provide a logical reason, mixing up Rizwan’s 46 off 77 balls against India in the Champions Trophy with a 320-run chase against New Zealand.

His rant took a darker turn when he shouted the abusive term “Lanat” at Rizwan, which was censored on live television.

Basit Ali, Kamran Akmal, and Waseem Badami quickly stepped in, urging Khalil to calm down. They told him his words were harsh and unfair. Despite their efforts, Khalil continued his outburst, even claiming to be a cricketer himself, which drew laughter from the panel and audience.

Khalil’s tone towards Waseem Badami was also sharp and rude, showing a lack of respect and media ethics.

Fans on social media praised Badami for handling the situation with patience and professionalism, while condemning Khalil for his uncalled-for attack on Rizwan. Many called for an apology, saying such behavior has no place in sports discussions. Khalil has not yet responded to the backlash.
