Former WWE superstar John Cena and Game of Thrones‘ Jason Momoa are set to star in a rowdy new action comedy titled Killer Vacation.
Warner Bros. has hired the two musclebound actors to star in the upcoming feature film. The studio has kept plot details under wraps, but we can assume it involves a holiday trip gone terribly wrong.
Sources say that the Peacemaker star John Cena met Aquaman star Jason Momoa while filming the upcoming installments of the Fast and Furious franchise, Fast X slated for a 2023 release. The two burly were eager to use their natural chemistry in another film, while chugging protein shakes we presume.
The rowdy comedy is being compared to similar action flicks such as True Lies and other splashy adventures. The new Co-Chairman and CEO of DC Studios for Warner Bros., James Gunn brought on his cousin and young brother, Mark and Brian Gunn to write the “Killer” script. John Rickard will produce the project along with Peter Safran.
Both, Cena and Momoa, have become a crucial part of WB’s DCEU. The two star are often cast as intimidating superheroes in action films.
However, Cena and Momoa have proven that they have a knack for tickling audience’s funny bone with their unique comedic timing.
It will be interesting to see these two Herculean actors pair up in a comedy film.
