Veteran actor Mirza Shahi has passed away in Karachi last night. The actor contracted COVID-19 last week and since then, his health deteriorated. Mirza Shahi’s daughter reported that he is in critical condition and was put on ventilator in Karachi’s Civil Hospital this week.
However, the cause of his death was not coronavirus but a cardiac arrest. His co-star from Nadaniyan, Yasir Nawaz confirmed his death by saying a prayer for his departed soul. He wrote,
“May Allah give him higher rank in jannah…Mirza Sb you will be missed.”
