The President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi on Monday conferred awards on 304 Pakistanis and foreign nationals for their notable contribution in their respective fields on the occasion of Independence Day. The investiture ceremony will take place on Pakistan Day 23 March 2024.
Those decorated with honors include one sitting and one former chief minister, counter-terrorism officers of the Intelligence Bureau and police, academician, scientists, poets, journalists, actors, etc. The Saudi defense minister and assistant defense minister as well as the Chinese vice premier and diplomats have been enlisted among those going to be honored.
The president announced the civil awards in 10 categories including Nishan-i-Imtiaz, Tamgha-i-Imtiaz, Hilal-i-Imtiaz, Hilal-i-Quaid–Azam, Sitara-i-Shujaat, Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Presidential Award for Pride of Performance, Tamgha-i-Shujaata, and Tamgha-i-Khidmat.
These were the honorable celebrities from the fields of sports and entertainment who were awarded these noble accolades.
