The second wave of coronavirus has health professionals seriously concerned- as reported by Geo News. In the last 24 hours, Pakistan saw 2,362 new cases, taking the total to a shocking 440,787. The first case of re-infection was reported in June, and recently more and more celebrities have tested positive for coronavirus- Mahira Khan being one of them.
The Verna actress took to her Instagram account to share the news with her fans and followers. She wrote:
I have tested positive for COVID-19. I’m isolating and have informed all those who were in close contact with me over the last few days.
She further added that while it has been rough, the Superstar actress believes everything will be fine soon.
Please please wear a mask and follow all other SOPs- for your sake and others’.

Another renowned personality, Tariq Jamil, has also tested positive for coronavirus. The Islamic scholar took to his Twitter account and wrote:
I had been feeling unwell for the past few days, and upon getting myself tested, it was revealed that I am corona positive.
I have been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors, special prayers are requested from everyone.
