Love Guru stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed got an unruly crowd at a promotional event in London. Mahira was reportedly subjected to physical harassment during a promotional event for her upcoming film at the Indo-Pak Supermarket in Ilford, London.
The event, organized to promote the film, quickly descended into chaos as large crowds overwhelmed the venue’s security. Eyewitnesses reported that Mahira Khan faced molestation by several individuals in the crowd as she entered the store and again while moving to the rooftop terrace, where she and Saeed were scheduled to greet fans.
Viral video clips circulating on social media show Mahira and Humayun waving from the rooftop, with at least three people seen aggressively approaching the actress amid visibly insufficient security measures.
According to a source, one of the security guards assigned to the event was allegedly involved in the harassment, causing more distress to Mahira. The actress was reportedly shaken and reluctant to continue with the event.
The situation was further complicated by the display of Indian flags at the venue, which reportedly caused discomfort among attendees given ongoing sensitivities between India and Pakistan. Despite these issues, the event continued as planned.
Additional reports indicate that Mahira Khan was promised £5,000 for her appearance, but the payment was not fulfilled, leading to further disputes between the actress and the event organizers.
Neither Mahira Khan nor the event organizers have released an official statement regarding the incident. The episode has sparked outrage among fans on social media, with many condemning the event’s poor management and calling for accountability.
Love Guru, starring Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed, is scheduled for release in cinemas on June 6.
