Malala Yousafzai is all praise for Hollywood superstar and humanitarian Angelina Jolie for writing Know Your Rights and Claim Them. The book is a youth guide and has been published by Amnesty International.

Taking to her Instagram, Malala shared a photo in which she is twinning with her friend Angelina Jolie, and wrote,

“Children make up almost one-third of the world’s population. Just like adults, children have rights. I’m proud of my friend @angelinajolie and @Amnesty for writing Know Your Rights, a book to give children the knowledge they need to stand up to injustice in their own lives and around the world.”

The Nobel laureate also shared a message for the youth and further wrote,

“To the children and young people who are reading this: You have rights that are equal in status to that of any adult. No one has the right to harm you, to silence you, to tell you what to think or believe, to treat you as if you don’t matter, or to prevent you from participating fully in society.”

Earlier, Angelina had shared a message for children and young people saying that their ‘life is of equal value to any adult, or any other young person on the planet’.

“In the production of this book, I have been humbled to meet young people who have been fighting for rights for years.”

She hoped that the book and her online series with Amnesty will help young people understand their rights.
