Arsalan, the man involved in the Zoobia Meer case, has been arrested and is currently in police custody in Rawalpindi. After inflicting physical violence on his mother, he and his wife had fled the scene.
The viral video of his violence spread over the internet like wildfire. and every single person was on board to demand justice for the mother who was so viciously beaten up by her own son. The act was so disgusting that not many people could watch it.
After a great many people tagged the Rawalpindi Police on Twitter, it wasn’t a matter of why but when Arsalan would be arrested.
Taking notice of the incident, CPO Rawalpindi has sought a report from SP Rawal Division. A case has been registered in this regard in Sadiqabad police station and arrest of the accused involved in the incident of violence is underway, who will be arrested soon and brought to justice.

Not only did CPO Rawalpindi, Muhammad Ahsan Younis, reach out to the mother who was abused brutally, but he even sent the SP of the Rawalpindi division to ensure her safety in person.

After strict orders from Punjab CM Usman Buzdaar, an arrest was made and Arsalan was finally brought into custody. He sent out a video recording of him apologizing to the nation and to his mother for his vile act.
I am Muhammad Arsalan and I abused my mother. I couldn’t do anything else because she got physically violent with my wife.
He further added that the situation got out of control and that this was a ‘pre-planned scheme against him’. He apologized saying:
I am ashamed and I apologize to not just my mother but all the mothers in the world.

Although a mother’s heart is always with her child, we really hope Arsalan is given strict punishment. No mother should fall victim to such a horrendous act, and no man should be excused from answering for such violence.
We hope Zoobia Meer and her mother are safe and secure in the comfort of their house.
