Maryam Nawaz’s daughter Mehrunnisa Safdar was caught up in a car crash just yesterday. However, emergency responders say there was no record of a distress call pertaining to the accident.
The eldest daughter of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President is in a limbo with death recovering from her injuries.

Dawn reports that according to PML-N spokesperson, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Mehrunnisa sustained head injuries during the accident and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
The daughter of Maryam Nawaz and Captain (R) Safdar underwent surgery for her head injuries and is currently in the clear. Marriyum Aurangzeb revealed that Mehrunnisa is now out of danger and is currently undergoing treatment at Sharif Medical City’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Marriyum Aurangzeb added that given the health of Maryam Nawaz’s daughter, the PML-N Vice President has cancelled her trip to Hyderabad. Hence she will not partake in the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) public address in Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Dawn added that a Rescue 1122 spokesperson revealed that emergency services received no distress call pertaining to Mehrunnisa’s car accident.
A Rescue 1122 spokesperson told media personnel that his organization did not receive any call of accident involving Mehrunnissa Safdar.
“We don’t have information about this accident,” the spokesperson said.

The eldest child of Maryam Nawaz and Captain (R) Safdar first made a splash in the spotlight with her wedding back in 2015.
At the time, the wedding of the then prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s granddaughter was attended by Indian PM Narendra Modi.
This marked his only visit to Pakistan. He had flown to Raiwind to attend the wedding ceremony.
Mehrunnisa wedded Raheel Munir, son of renowned businessman Chaudhry Munir. By May, 2018, she became the mother of baby Serena.
