Coronavirus has done a number on the Pakistani economy. According to one survey, about 54% of Pakistanis have either been laid off or faced a pay cut these past few months. While a great number of people are financially struggling during these pressing days, some well-known celebrities aren’t free from this fate either. Meera Jee is now seeking financial support from Lahore Artists Council.
In the application form, in which she is appealing for financial help through funds, Meera revealed she owns a house in DHA. She further pointed out that she has 7 dependents in her family.
Al-Hamra Arts Council in Lahore grants Rs. 5000 per month under this scheme. It is also important to note that Meera returned back home on May 13th, after making an appeal to the Prime Minister for her safe return.
