But the Baaji star is making headlines once again for a blunder she made on national television. She congratulated Pakistani athlete Arshad Nadeem for his ‘cricket performance’ and the Internet can’t take this anymore.
Arshad Nadeem is a javelin thrower and the first athlete from Pakistan to qualify for the Olympics and the first to reach a track-and-field final. He placed fifth in the Olympics final on Saturday and while he did not win any medal, he won the hearts of Pakistanis.
Hailing his performance, Meera Jee said that he made everyone proud and played cricket really well. She also told the interviewer that his body language displayed discipline and honesty. She then asked the government to acknowledge its heroes.
