Meera Jee has finally responded to the rumors that she is lying about being stranded in New York. The actress has rubbished these rumors and calls out those who are spreading false information against her.
Earlier the Baaji actress shared a video from her hotel room saying that she is stuck in New York during the pandemic. In her video, she appealed to PM Imran Khan to make arrangements for her safe return to the country.
Minutes after the video dropped on social media, rumors started to float around of it all being a lie. But, Meera Jee has denied these rumors in another video. She said,
“In my video, I had asked requested Prime Minister Imran Khan to bring me home. As a Pakistani, it is my right.”
She did not hold back to call out those who, according to her are making up stories about her.
“Some people tried to twist my story which is unacceptable. For God’s sake, this is not the time to mock or ridicule people.”

Meera further clarified,
“The Pakistan embassy in New York knows of my whereabouts and I am grateful to Council General Ayesha Ali for her help so far.”
She also said that she is scared due to the rising number of deaths in New York. Upon returning to Pakistan, she hopes to do her part in helping those affected by corona.
