Meera is the famous name of the entertainment industry. She is a Pakistani film actress, model, television presenter, and philanthropist. She made her debut in a Pakistani Urdu film “Kanta” in 1995. But earned nationwide critical acclaim in 1999 for her lead performance in Khilona (1996–97).
The Khilona actress began composing poetry, under the pseudonym of Sasri, when she was at school. She is considered to be one of the pioneers of symbolism in Urdu poetry, and especially introducing Free Verse.
The Baaji diva did not only garner praises for her exceptional acting skills in the country but across the border too. She did her first movie in India, named Nazar which had her as the first Pakistani actress to be seen in India as well as it was the beginning of the India Pakistan peace talks. She also did a couple of projects for Bollywood such as Kasak, Paanch Ghantey Mien Paanch Crore, etc.
The starlet is famous for her controversies – be it her spoken English or her scandals she never seems to fade away from the limelight. Recently, the controversial queen made a statement regarding Narendra Modi that stole quite the spotlight.
She appeared at Waseem Badami’s show Har Lamha Purjosh, the host asked her
“If given a choice between the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and your contemporary Reema Khan, whom would you want to cruise with on the iconic Titanic?”
The Kanta star responded that
“I would prefer to cruise with Modi and will ask Reema to leave.”
Meera expounded that she wants to converse with Narendra Modi, adding that she will lure Modi on the boat and will start a discussion about progressive ties.
