Everyone hates a dragged-out drama. The blockbuster serial Mere Humsafar after gaining top ratings each week, became the target of public scrutiny. Many fans feel the drama is being excessively dragged out.

Mere Humsafar is produced by actor Humayun Saeed under his Six Sigma Plus company. Recently, the actor was called out about this issue regarding drama serials following the format of 20-30+ episodes. Humayun Saeed and Six Sigma Plus are notorious for following such a format as evident from Neeli Zinda Hai and now Mere Humsafar. The actor shared his two cents on the matter.

“If you ask me personally, I feel that a show shouldn’t have more than 16-17 episodes,” Humayun said in his interview.

As for Mere Humsafar, the 51-year-old actor-turn-producer defended his show. According to Humayun, Mere Humsafar has over 30 episodes because of the script.

“The script has enough margin to allow you to go to 30 or 39 episodes, then it is acceptable,” Humayun Saeed said about Mere Humsafar. “We didn’t write any extra episodes, it was already written in the script. And as you said, people continue to watch it as they are hooked on something about the show which is why they still like it.”
