Based on how she fangirls about her husband, Syeda Khushbakht seems to be very much in love with Sarfaraz Ahmed. However, when he tried to mansplain her, Netizens didn’t hold back from slamming the cricketer.
In their recent appearance on Nida Yasir’s Ramzan show ‘Shan-e-Sahoor‘ on ARY Digital former test cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and his wife Khushbakht talked about how he mansplained cricketer to her once.
The couple shared that since then they don’t talk about cricket after that spat that took place between them shortly after they got married.
“It was my first Test tour to South Africa in 2013 and we just got hitched,” Sarfaraz recalled.
When his better half asked about his performance, the cricketer lost his cool with his wife.
“As you know, South African bouncy conditions are always tricky for us, so I failed to score runs there, … I was already disturbed with my performance and then Khushbakht asked me to focus on my performance. It irritated me a bit and I immediately told her to mind her own business,” he disclosed.
That’s when the sportsman proceeded to make matters worse and mansplained his wife over her input. As his wife, she was really only sharing from a place of love and kindness.
“Mera coach banne ki zaroorat nahi hai, mere pas already coaches hain [Don’t try to be my coach, I already have my coaches],” Sarfaraz was quoted saying to his wife on phone.
Syeda Khushbakht shared that since then they just don’t talk about cricket.
“Thereafter, we didn’t talk about cricket ever.”
This confession by Sarfaraz Ahmed has garnered quite some criticism online.
It is pertinent to mention that Syeda Khushbakht comes from a family of sportsmen. Her brother played cricket with Sarfaraz Ahmed and her father was an umpire.
The couple tied the knot in 2015 and have two children named together, Abdullah and Ayesha.
