Pop star Miley Cyrus is back in the spotlight, and this time she’s bringing something truly special.

The artist, once known as Hannah Montana, may be facing a lawsuit for copying Bruno Mars but that hasn’t stopped her from making music as she has officially announced her ninth studio album, titled Something Beautiful, set to drop on May 30 via Columbia Records.

Following the success of her 2023 hit album Endless Summer Vacation, which featured the chart-topping single “Flowers,” Cyrus is ready to take her fans on another musical journey.

In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Cyrus revealed that Something Beautiful draws heavy inspiration from Pink Floyd’s iconic album The Wall. “My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous,” she quipped.

To accompany the announcement, Miley Cyrus unveiled the album’s cover art, shot by renowned fashion photographer Glen Luchford. The image features Cyrus in a breathtaking archival Thierry Mugler couture look from 1997.

Something Beautiful will feature thirteen tracks and will also be released as a visual album, promising fans a multi-sensory experience. The excitement surrounding the album is palpable, with signed CDs and vinyls already available for purchase on Cyrus’s official website.

In addition to her solo endeavors, Cyrus has been busy collaborating with other artists since the release of Endless Summer Vacation. She teamed up with Pharrell Williams on the track “Doctor” and joined forces with Beyoncé on “II Most Wanted,” showcasing her versatility and ability to blend genres.
