Why is Altaf Hussain facing the crunch?

It seems like the controversial ‘Altaf bhai’ is having financial troubles.

The news comes right after Judge Peter Knox from the London High Court issued orders of freezing six of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) controlled properties. The six properties that have been frozen by the court are Abbey View house, High View Gardens’ first house, Whitchurch Lane first house, Brookfield Avenue house, High View Gardens’ second house, Whitchurch Lane second house, and the MQM first floor Elizabeth House office.

Under the court orders, the MQM leader and his associates can stay in these properties until the final decision has been made on the lawsuit. However, none of these properties can be sold.

The property dispute case was filed by MQM-Pakistan, which famously split from their leader after an incendiary speech. MQM-P claimed to be the beneficial owners of the aforementioned properties. According to reports, the ownership of these properties is over 15 million pounds (that is roughly Rs. 3 billion).

Ever since Mustafa Azizbadi tweeted Atlaf Hussain’s hand-written letter on Twitter, social media users are having a good laugh at his expense. One user believes ‘Altaf bhai’ is having financial trouble due to his rigorous campaign for the US elections. Look, he even made it to the ballots (of course not)!
