A Pakistani news channel came under fire for using Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s photo as that of a politician who was alleged of committing murders, in their bulletin.
Did Aamir Khan Move to Pakistan?
The news was supposed to cover the story of MQM’s co-founder Amir Khan who is accused of murder.
Amir Khan, the subject of the story, is a Pakistani politician. He is the leader of the Haqiqi party which is the breakaway faction of Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
However, the news channel made a huge blunder and placed the Bollywood actor’s photo instead.
What came next was criticism, and not just from the country but across the border. Journalist Naila Inayat brought the mistake on social media.
