MrBeast Claims He Was Also Invited on OceanGate Titanic Sub Which Disappeared

Netizens are skeptical of the popular YouTuber’s claims.

YouTube star MrBeast claimed on Sunday that he had been invited to join the fatal OceanGate Titan’s trip to the Titanic wreckage but declined the offer.

MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, shared a portion of a text message he received on Twitter, indicating the invitation to explore the Titanic in a submarine later in the month. The now-viral tweet has gained attention and sparked some skepticism on social media.

Some fans are relieved that MrBeast did not go on the doomed submersible trip, while others are critical, calling him out for being an “attention seeker”.

MrBeast tweeted,

I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said ‘no’. Kind of scary that I could have been on it.

The screenshot MrBeast shared on Twitter showed a blue text, leading some users to question its authenticity and accusing him of seeking attention. However, others defended him, pointing out that the blue text was likely from a conversation he had with someone else discussing the invitation.

Meanwhile, an ongoing investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of the implosion that claimed the lives of all five individuals on board the OceanGate Titan submersible during its descent to the Titanic wreckage.

The victims included OceanGate CEO Stockton Rush, British businessman Hamish Harding, French diver Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and Pakistani-born businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman.

The investigation aims to shed light on the circumstances that led to the submersible’s implosion and hopefully, recover the bodies of the five victims.
