This Eid al-Adha, Pakistani TV heartthrob Muneeb Butt found himself in an unexpected adventure when the camel he bought for the sacrificial ritual broke free and made a run for it. A viral video circulating on social media captured the decorated camel sprinting down a street, with startled onlookers scattering in fear.
Confirming the incident, Muneeb shared that the escape happened the previous day, revealing the surprising reason behind it. “CCTV footage showed some mischievous kids throwing stones at the poor animal, which caused it to panic and snap its rope,” the actor explained. While he didn’t clarify whether the runaway camel was caught, Muneeb urged parents to teach their children how to treat sacrificial animals with respect.
In true celebrity fashion, Muneeb documented the entire journey of buying the camel from the livestock market and bringing it home in a lively vlog shared with his fans. Meanwhile, actress Minal Khan couldn’t resist poking fun at the situation, sharing the viral clip on her social media story and tagging her sister Aiman Khan and brother-in-law Muneeb, writing, “Your camel’s gone viral!”
With Eid al-Adha set to be celebrated in Pakistan on Saturday, March 7, the excitement is building. Muslims worldwide, including Pakistan’s showbiz stars, participate in the tradition of animal sacrifice, following the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim.
