It’s an unfortunate fact that most of the Pakistani parents impose careers on their children without even bothering to ask them of their plans for their own lives. This scenario often leads to a) the kid failing at their imposed career and/or b) a strained relationship with ones’ own parents. Actress Maya Ali underwent something rather similar.

She spoke out during her recent interview with BBC Asian Network about why parents should let children decide for themselves.
