The series marks an exciting cross-cultural collaboration between Pakistan and Indonesia.

Renowned Pakistani filmmaker Nabeel Qureshi, along with Filmwala Pictures, has unveiled an exciting collaboration with Indonesia’s Falcon Pictures for the upcoming Netflix series Tik Tik Nol.

This venture marks a significant cross-cultural partnership, as Nabeel expressed his pride in line-producing three episodes in Pakistan, featuring an exceptional Indonesian cast and crew.

Breaking the news on social media, Nabeel and Filmwala Pictures shared glimpses from the sets of Tik Tik Nol with a caption that read,

Filmwala Pictures is thrilled to announce our collaboration with Falcon Pictures for the Netflix series, Tik Tik Nol! Proud to have line-produced three episodes in Pakistan with an incredible Indonesian cast and crew. It’s been a journey of cultural exchange and showcasing the beauty of Pakistan. Filmwala Pictures is paving the way for more global filmmakers to explore Pakistan’s diverse landscapes.

Filmwala Pictures, spearheaded creatively by Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza, stands as Pakistan’s first independent production house. Known for its blockbuster and award-winning films, the production house gained widespread recognition with its debut film, Na Maloom Afraad in 2014, which set a new standard for independent production houses in the country.

Subsequent hits like Actor in Law (2016) and Load Wedding (2018) continued to solidify Filmwala Pictures’ reputation.

Load Wedding, in particular, addressed the sensitive issue of the dowry system, sparking a nationwide conversation. The film’s impact was so profound that within five months of its release, organizations like UN Women Pakistan initiated a campaign against dowry in the country.

Filmwala Pictures’ influence also led to the government of Pakistan passing a bill to ban dowry, showcasing the transformative power of their projects.

With the collaboration on Tik Tik Nol, Filmwala Pictures is once again pushing boundaries and venturing into new territories. Beyond being a symbol of cultural exchange between Pakistan and Indonesia, the series underscores the production house’s commitment to presenting the beauty of Pakistan on a global platform.
