Nadia Hussain Becomes a Victim of Online Delivery Scam

It seems with the coronavirus quarantine and people not going out for shopping these days, street criminals have turned to online scams for money. Recently, there has been an online parcel delivery scam that is going around that even model Nadia Hussain has fallen prey to.

The popular model and actress took to social media to raise awareness of this growing criminal activity in Pakistan.

According to Nadia, these con men use old discarded parcel boxes and receipts to find out about people’s names and contact address. Afterward, they send out fake parcels to those addresses to get money out of people and then disappear as soon as they realize what has happened.

Nadia also revealed that the courier companies are not entirely responsible as these criminals have been using various company flyers and boxes for such scams.

 “The man who came to deliver the parcel had a package from Call Courier but didn’t have any uniform or identification that said he belonged to the company,” said Nadia.

Social media has been abuzz with similar reports of customers complaining to reputable online shopping services of data hack and their private information being leaked out to these con artists. There seems to be a whole chain of unregistered riders, fake deliverymen, who take the money and leave, only for the customers to realize that the parcel is fake or damaged.

Nadia Hussain has encouraged people to be vigilant and beware of such tricks be pulled on the public. It is advised to never receive any parcel without cross-checking about the product details. Stay posted for more updates.
