‘Nakaal Without Akaal’: Netizen Troll Film Rishtay For Copying Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham

Netizens call out filmmakers of Rishtay of copying the Bollywood film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. People troll the film for having an exact poster as the iconic Indian film.

Pakistani filmmakers have been complaining online, calling for people to support local films, as well as holding a press conference. They are trying to reverse the clash in release schedules and prevent similar clashes in the future.

Eid-ul-Fitr releases like Parde Mein Rehne DoDum Mastam and Ghabrana Nahi Hai did not create much buzz around Pakistan, with low to average box office numbers. People prefer to watch Bollywood and Hollywood flicks like Marvel Studio’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Filmmakers often complain that people don’t appreciate local films. They also criticize India for stealing their content but our Pakistani filmmakers are no different either.

Recently, a new Pakistani film Rishtay is making waves on social media. The film just released its promotional poster. At first glance, it looks like a typical family drama film. But something feels eerily familiar as netizens point out.

The film’s poster looks an almost identical copy of the iconic Bollywood film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.

From the frame to the outfits, Netizens troll the film for copying the Bollywood film’s poster.

Some folks sarcastically defend the film’s poster for at least changing the background color. Others pointed out the woman in the middle may have two husbands!
