Former supermodel and actress, Natasha Hussain has stated that Shahroz Sabzwari is not as talented as his father.
In an interview with Ayesha Jehanzaib, the former supermodel was asked which actor or actress became famous because of nepotism.
Natasha named the Babylicious star as someone who benefitted greatly from nepotism and used his father, Behroze Sabzwari’s success as a platform to boost his career.
The former supermodel, actress, and designer had this to say,
I don’t really consider him [Shahroz] an actor, but his father [Behroze Sabzwari] is a great actor.
Natasha’s remarks sparked mixed reactions online with many agreeing with her comment, and others called her a hypocrite as they believe her daughter, Tanya Hussain, is also a not-so-talented actress benefitting from her mother’s success.
A few are upset with the talk show host for deliberately cornering celebrities into making such controversial statements. Several celebrities came out to defend Shahroz Sabzwari as a “good actor” and criticized the host for asking such “ridiculous questions”.
Amidst all the backlash she received online, Natasha Hussain backtracked and apologized. She wrote, “I heartily apologize for this statement of mine. I said it but I did not mean it! Shahroz Sabzwari is a very good actor; it just came out wrong! Pakistan is facing so much yet people have ample free time on their hands to sit back and blow everything out of proportion. Bhai maaf kar do (forgive me) and kindly focus on your own life!”
