Nawazuddin Siddiqui Adopts Interesting Avatar For Haddi

Nawazuddin Siddiqui - Haddi

Sacred Games famed Bollywood star Nawazuddin Siddiqui continues to expand his scope as an actor with his upcoming Haddi. The actor is set to play a drag queen.

A motion picture for the film teased a look at the Gangs of Wasseypur actor in drag.

The Akshat Ajay Sharma directorial is supposed to be a noir revenge drama, as per the poster’s caption. Based on what we see in the motion poster, we see what appears to be an abandoned warehouse, transitioning to a shot of the Heropanti 2 actor in drag.

He’s seen donning a beautiful metallic silver gown, bold jewelry, and a blood-stained weapon.

According to a report by Zoom, Nawazuddin Siddiqui intended to step out of the box through this role.

“I have portrayed different interesting characters, but Haddi is going to be a unique and special one since I will be sporting a never-seen-before look, and it will also help me to push the envelope as an actor,” the actor was reported saying.

Meanwhile, the director Akshat Ajay Sharma said in a statement;

“It’s going to be a double whammy, as Haddi gives me the opportunity to collaborate with Nawazuddin. Our team hopes the motion poster piques the audience’s interest as we are excited to dive deep into a new world. Can’t wait to start filming”.

This is definitely an avatar we haven’t seen the Manto actor in. His body of work includes many crime dramas from Heropanti 2, to older works like Badlapur, Gangs of Wasseypur, and Raat Akeli Hai. However, his works also include more indie films like Photograph and Thackeray.

While this is somewhat of another crime drama, at least we get to see the actor in a new avatar.
