Fans of the horror/thriller Bird Box have gone extreme with #BirdBoxChallenge and Netflix isn’t happy.
Due to some fatal, not just brutal #BirdBoxChallenge fails, the streaming service had to step in and begged fans of the record-breaking film to not partake in the dangerous viral challenge.
“Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE.”
The streaming corporation advised fans not to partake in the ridiculous challenge. Just when we thought trends couldn’t be worse than the #KiKiChallenge, people have come up with the Bird Box Challenge.

Can’t believe I have to say this, but: PLEASE DO NOT HURT YOURSELVES WITH THIS BIRD BOX CHALLENGE. We don’t know how this started, and we appreciate the love, but Boy and Girl have just one wish for 2019 and it is that you not end up in the hospital due to memes.

#BirdBoxChallenge Sounds like another stupid thing to do for internet fame, you guys eat tide pods, burn yourselves, blindfold yourselves, etc for the sake of a meme or internet challenge, yet you get offended when people call you sheep. ffs.

Bird Box, a Netflix original film, stars Sandra Bullock as a mother with two children trying to get them to safety blindfolded. The film is set in a post-apocalyptic future where everyone goes around blindfolded in order to avoid seeing a force that kills those that set eyes on it.
In the Bird Box Challenge, people are trying to get from one point to another blindfolded. Without the use of their sight, the challenge is having some pretty fatal outcomes.
WARNING Graphic content. Attempted the #BirdBoxChallenge in 2016. I wouldn’t recommend doing anything blindfolded. 🤦🏻♀️ especially sprinting. (Old pic. Partially torn patellar tendon. almost severed quad tendon) pic.twitter.com/dBEV9eO6tn

Netflix was taken aback that they had to tell people that this was dangerous and they shouldn’t be participating.
Perhaps people are trying to live the thrill of the film. In the movie’s setting, people are not blindfolded for the fun of it. They’re forced to wear blindfolds to avoid catching a glimpse of the monster that gets into your head and forces you to commit suicide.
Film art representing suicide as a norm, wasn’t such a great idea then. Or maybe people need to realize it was a movie and we need our sense of sight.
A lot of people on the Internet do realize this and urge fellow social media users to do the same.
PLEASE DO NOT DO THE #BirdBoxChallenge !!
Donate to a Blind Charity, or something else. Just do NOT try this dumbass meme. pic.twitter.com/1bBwx1iggy
