Mountain Dew has always given OTT ads. This is how the carbonated beverage producer branded itself over the years. However, the public feels the soda’s latest advert featuring Ahad Raza Mir and Fahad Mustafa is too out of place.
The television commercial (TVC) aside people really don’t like the posters, Mountain Dew Pakistan shared on Facebook.
While there are plenty of comments online on why people don’t like the ad. In a popular Facebook group, dedicated to marketing and advertising trends in the country, a conversation brewed up. One Facebook user posted about how the Mountain Dew poster looks off and how the choice of celebs for the ad doesn’t work with the brand’s sporty image.

The audience even talked about how the actors selected to endorse the Mountain Dew brand don’t fit well with the brand image the company established from organizing an extreme sports reality TV show to sponsoring sporting events.
However not everyone had good points to make. Some people used this as an opportunity to be plain mean.
