Malala Yousafzai took it to her Twitter and shared the big news on Tuesday announcing her wedding with Asser Malik in Birmingham.
“Today marks a precious day in my life,” she wrote in a Twitter post. “Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families,”
She made the big announcement, asking people for blessings.
Who is the groom?
Her newly wedded husband Asser Malik is the general manager of the PCB’s High-Performance Centre.
The education activist wore a Tea-pink color dress with a touch of gold whereas the groom wore a suit with a tea-pink tie matching it with the bride’s outfit.
The duo tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with just the parents and the couple themselves. The Nobel Laureate’s father also posted on Twitter about the daughter’s wedding. Expressing joy and gratitude over his daughter’s special day, he wrote,
“It is beyond words. Alhamdulillah“
The bride’s friend too shared some snaps on Instagram where the groom put on a ring on the bride’s finger.
Right after the announcement, the best wishes started pouring in
PPP leader Aseefa Bhutto Zardari felicitated the bride and hoped that the newly-wedded couple finds joy together.
Congratulations! May you both find every joy together, and may your journey be blessed at every turn. Sending you love & duas 🤍✨
