Pakistan national cricket team made history on Sunday night, defeating arch-rivals India for the first time in a World Cup. Thus, ending a painful jinx that first began in 1992. More importantly, no more “Mauka Mauka” jokes that have been played out for too long by our noisy neighbors.
To call this a ‘good victory’ would be an understatement, Pakistan trounced India in emphatic fashion, with a 10 wickets in hand. We’ve always been the heavy underdogs heading into the game, with non of the cricket pundits giving Pakistan a chance. But men in green flipped the script, tearing through India’s formidable lineup and Babar Azam and Rizwan cruised to an easy chase of 151.
