Pakistani celebrities have starred in and acted in many different shows and movies. Although they have gained a lot of popularity, love, and support through their work, these shows and movies don’t tell us their personal stories. This is why most of the celebrities in Pakistan, and elsewhere, aspire to start or already own their own businesses.
Owning a business means your future is in your own hands. It also means leaving a legacy behind for your children and grandchildren. But is it really that easy? Well – yes and no.
Establishing and then running a business requires strength, patience, skills, and creativity. Luckily, some of our celebrities possess all the qualities necessary to become a successful business owner.
So without further ado, let’s take a look at some of our beloved Pakistani celebrities who have started or hired capable folks to look after their own business establishments.

Hareem Farooq
Hareem owns a production house IRK Films. Her aim is to engage the audience and bring them back to cinemas with quality content and film productions. Like many other business owners, she too is very passionate about running her own company.
Hareem Farooq, along with her partners, have given us many memorable movies like Janaan, Heer Maan Ja, Parchi, and Siyaah.
Mikaal Zulfiqar
On 27th October 2019, Mikaal Zulfiqar went from being a successful actor to a business owner. With the inauguration of his salon Head Lines for Men, the Ruswai actor proved that he has a lot of potential and a desire to work hard and succeed.
I’ve put together an amazing team and all the experiences I’ve had working with good people in the industry, I’ve put them all together to form a vibrant and knowledgeable bunch.
Yasir Nawaz & Nida Yasir
Yasir Nawaz is an actor and a director, while his wife, Nida Yasir, is popularly known for hosting a hit morning show. Both of them established their own production house, YNH Films, in 2015.
Their debut film, Wrong No., became an instant hit and was the 8th highest-grossing movie at the time. In 2017, they released another movie, Mehrunisa V Lub U, which was a romantic comedy.
The couple works together on these projects, and Yasir runs the directorial side of things.
Atiqa Odho
Atiqa Odho made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her modeling and acting projects. But she proved to be an even stronger woman with the release of her cosmetics brand, Odho Cosmetics, in 2004.
Apart from being known for her beauty, she is also known as the first female celebrity in Pakistan who started a cosmetics company.
What many people don’t know is that I started off my career in the late ‘80s as a qualified stylist and makeup artist and later on I ventured into serials and TV shows.
Fahad Mustafa
Fahad Mustafa had the urge to create something of his own early on. He started his own production house, Big Bang Entertainment, in 2013. Apart from being the youngest and one of the most talented producers right now, Fahad is also very passionate about his acting projects.
In just four years, his production house had produced 50+ shows. Shows like Dusri Biwi, Rang Laaga, Zinda Dargor, Muqabail, Andaz-e-Sitam, and Teri Raza have been produced by Fahad’s production house.
The Hocane Sisters
Urwa and Mawra Hocane are probably one of the most beloved and famous celebrity sisters in Pakistan. Last year, they finally used their fame and knowledge to their advantage by introducing their own clothing brand, UXM.
Their focus has been on chic & trendy western clothing marketed towards the sisters’ fans and followers.
I feel that it completely describes who we are and what we like to wear and how we like to style ourselves. We have tried to put that into our designs so that people who follow us or who like to dress up like us, can probably make use of it.
Faysal Qureshi
The 46-year-old Muqaddar actor, Faysal Qureshi, ventured into the world of production with the launch of his very own production house, Connect Studios, in 2017.
The production house’s debut show is Baba Jaani and Faysal Qureshi appeared on the drama series as the lead actor.
We’ll tap into every genre for entertainment but with a good message certainly. Also Connect Studios will focus on producing content for all channels on Pakistan television.
Nadia Hussain
Nadia Hussain is a versatile actress and model who now owns two businesses under her name. In 2014 she started her own beauty salon which goes by the name Nadia Hussain Bridal Salon and Clinic. Apart from running the business side of things, Nadia also does the bridal makeup and performs some cosmetic procedures.
Last year the Tera Yahan Koi Nahi star tapped into the cosmetics world with the launch of her brand NH Bling.
Adnan Siddiqui
Adnan Siddiqui, with almost three decades worth of experience in the entertainment industry, started his own production house named Cereal Entertainment. He has produced some hit shows like Aadat and Ghughi.
His production house is all set to release its latest film Dam Mastam this year. The shows that he has produced are very creative and out-of-the-box; like his debut show Seeta Bagri that is based on the Hindu minority group living in Pakistan.
I think this was just the right time for me to open up my very own production house. Its sole purpose is to experiment with unconventional stories, offering more than just the usual run-of-the-mill stories.
Aiman & Minal Khan
The sisters started their acting career early on, and now, at a young age, the twin sisters also own a clothing brand that goes by the name AnM Closet. The sisters aim to bring elegance and style to the Pakistani high street fashion world.
Juggun Kazim
The Canadian-Pakistani actress, host, and YouTuber started working in the media industry when she was only 4 years old.
The very talented and enthusiastic Khamosh Raho actress is the owner of two businesses; a gym and a salon. She opened her salon Magnifique Salon & Spa last year.
Humayun Saeed
Humayun Saeed has proven time and again that he is one of the most versatile actors in the Pakistani media industry. However, he has proven to be an even better producer. The star owns not one, but two production houses.
He established Six Sigma Plus in 2010 and the production house has created some of the renowned and hit shows like Chup Raho, Pyaare Afzal, Aitraz, Kabhi Kabhi, Marasim, Qismaat, and Jackson Heights. Six Sigma Plus is one of the biggest production houses in Pakistan.
Another production house, Epic Entertainment, was established recently and it is run by Humayun Saeed’s wife. The production house is responsible for the hit TV show, Alif.
Shagufta Ejaz
Pakistani actress Shagufta Ejaz started her acting career in the 1990s. Apart from acting in Urdu shows and movies, the actress has also appeared in some Punjabi films. So, it goes without saying that the actress has a lot of experience and potential.
She started her own salon, almost a decade ago, that goes by the name Envy.
We would love to see more actors like these start their own business ventures and grow personally.
