The GMAs, held annually in California, is an esteemed event that recognizes outstanding artistry, skill, and talent across a spectrum of musical genres, including jazz, classical, fusion, folk, and contemporary music.

Sharif Awan’s album “Music in Covid Times,” produced under the banner of the Tehzeeb Foundation, stood out by winning in three distinct categories – “Creativity/Originality,” “Best Album,” and “Best Producer.”

In response to his triumphant win, Sharif Awan expressed his joy and appreciation, saying,

A win for music anywhere is a win for music everywhere! I congratulate all the artists from Pakistan, India, Germany, and the United Kingdom who came together to create this album in the most adverse of times. May the magic of music continue to heal us.
