Pakistani Pride: Erica Robin Finishes in Top 20 at Miss Universe 2023

The Karachi beauty queen left a lasting impression during Pakistan debut year at the global pageant.

In a historic debut, Miss Pakistan, Erica Robin, left an indelible mark at the 72nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant held in El Salvador.

The 24-year-old beauty queen from Karachi earned her place among the top 20 contestants out of  84 participants, representing her nation with grace and elegance on the global stage. While she didn’t secure a spot in the top 10, Erica’s journey has garnered significant attention and praise.

Erica Robin showcased the rich cultural traditions of Pakistan, captivating the audience with her enchanting charisma and glamorous ensembles. As the first-ever Miss Universe contestant from Pakistan, her participation in the prestigious competition was marked by historic significance.

From the evening gown to national dress segment. Erica shined on the global stage, proudly representing Pakistan.

Following her stint in the pageant, Erica continues to make waves beyond the runway. Recently crowned as Miss Universe Pakistan, she passionately participated in an event for Down Syndrome Awareness Month, using her platform to raise awareness and advocate for inclusivity.

Beyond her advocacy work, Erica has also become an integral part of the Red Cross Family, joining the Red Cross Youth Philippines.

During a recent engagement with the youth, she spent a day actively listening to their aspirations, fostering a meaningful connection and creating an activity day filled with shared hopes and dreams for the future.

One of the standout moments of Erica’s Miss Universe journey was her representation of Pakistan’s diverse cultures during the preliminary contest, where she refused to wear a bikini during the swimsuit segment. She opted to walk out in a burka, garnering applause from the audience and people worldwide.
